Palm trees

Before planting, the palm must be accustomed to the local climate. It needs ordinary well-drained soil, warmth and water. It is planted in May-June, a period during which the recovery will be rapid. Easily recognizable by their stipes surmounted by a cluster of pinnate or palmate leaves, they occupy a special place in the plant world, because they are among the oldest species dating back around 80 million years.
